Goldberg Frankovka contains dried berries which define its organoleptic character. This wine features pronounced prune and sour cherry aromas, laid on an elastic structure of ripe tannins. This combination of exceptional fruitiness and firm structure with lots of freshness belongs to top-notch achievements in the vinification of Blaufränkisch, an important red sort of the Danube Basin, Slavonia and Central Europe. The lively ruby color speaks of this wine’s substantive youth and further ripening potential.
The melange of black and red fruit with the tannins and freshness of Goldberg Frankovka will best suit a premium steak. Excellent combinations are wagyu beef with a lot of intramuscular fat, black angus or charolais beef. Of the local cuisine specialities we recommend lamb from the islands of Cres or Pag and pork chops of the black Slavonian pig.
